Well here it is, Mikes new apartment. I was a womanwith a mission, and Grandpa was a man with a mission. Too bad we had two different missions last weekend. I was all about Mike and moving him in and getting him every little thing he needed. Dad was all about playing with the girls. I think we did a pretty good job of both. Phebe and I went to Walmart and got the last of the stuff I needed to put the apartment together. it was a late night run as usual. Saturday bright and early we set out for mikes new home. He had a table that someone had given him that wqas home made. It would have done fine, but Dad thought it was awful. I could have fixed it easy with a black tablecloth and white placemats. The table got broke between Anthonys and mikes. OOPS then it was time for Dad, Mike and his "friend" Misty to go table shopping. Bu the time they got back, I had 2 loads of dishes done, one load of laundry, and the furnature was delivered, aet up and the bed made. We exchanged the comforter set I got him, and got a different one. The first one did not fit very well. He is all fixed up now. Dad and I made a trip to Costco, and Mike and I made a trip to Winco. He should have enough to eat for a while, but he will have to do some cooking. OH MAN, he does not have anyone to boss around! I hope he can cook for himself. I accompluished my goal. Grandpa didn't do too bad either. We stayed at Jeff and Brees Sunday night and had a wonderful time with Bree and Sydney. Jeff was on the night shift, so he slept Monday when he got home. I went to Winco with Mike and Dad stayed with Sydney while Bree got her nails done. Sydney is a crybaby when Grandpa wants to play with her. Bree left, Grandma was gone, Jeff was in bed, soooSydney got to think grandpa wasn't too bad. She quit crying when she figured it was just tthe two of them and actually played. That made Grandpa very happy! For the other girls, Tabitha played in my purse during sacrament meeting and had a ball. She found camndy, and lipstick! The lipstick was clear so she couldn't really make too big of a mess with it. There was even a small mirror so she could see how beautiful she is. Grandpa just wanted to be the tooth fairy so bad, but it backfired so bad. He went to the bathroom, and put $40.00 under Emmas pillow. She found it when he went to bed and knew exactually where it came from. She said she did not deserve that much, and then had serious doubts about the reality of the tooth fairy. Phebe a very smart mom, and a very good one at that, told her the tooth fairy would be there. In the morning Emma had a gold coin and there was a handful of silver star confetti under her pillow. Saved once again by the wisdom of a wise mother! We both had a wonderful time with our dear children once again!

A DAY OFF!

A day in the life.....I'm back, trying to stay awake on my first day off again. I am excited for next week to come around so we can go to Tri Cities and visit Anthony and girls and Jeff, Bree, and Sydney, and of course help Mike move into his first real apartment by himself. I have gathered up most of the things for his kitchen, and have shopped for bedding. I actually think he is excited too! I have a small shopping list for Friday afternoon so I can take Emma and Tabitha to help me pick out the finishing touches for Mike. I want them to feel a part of helping uncle Mike too. I am such a good designer now his apartment will be gorgeous when we are done. I hope I can make it masculine enough for him. No flowers, maybe candles, some accent pillows for the couch, some ideas for pictures for the walls. Does anyone have any ideas? I might need some ideas! I will get a picture of the "new guest bedroom" and see if I can figure out how to put it on my blog, that is, if I can get the bed made again, and get Dad out! King size beds are hard to make Phebe. Dad has taken over that room like I made it just for him! Little does he know that whenever anyone comes to visit he will be evicted like a squatter! Oh, I got a lamp for the night stand too. I am looking for one of those water pitchers with the glass that goes on top so you don't have to get up for a drink during the night if you wake up thirsty. Dad says the bed is better because it is so soft. He just moved the alarm clock and his machine right in, and has a pile of dirty clothes in the corner! All I say is OH Man! I still like our bed better. It's juist that I can't turn off the alarm and sleep for 15 minutes longer in peace. I am getting some pictures up in the middle bedroom of the girls that are oh so cute! It is the grandma room now and will just be full of pictures of all of you guys, and of course my sweet little girls. I love it when I can spend time with my girls. Dad is boring, he just plays thise games all the time! Guess I'll go try to make the bed!
